What to Expect at Your Consultation
Your virtual travel health consultation is a 30–45 minute video call with an ISTM-certified travel medicine physician. It is not a generic checklist — it is a personalized review of your trip, your health, and your risk.
During your consultation, your physician will:
- Review your full itinerary — countries, regions, activities, and duration
- Assess your individual health history and current medications
- Recommend the right vaccines for your trip (not a generic country list)
- Discuss malaria prevention, food and water safety, and altitude if applicable
- Prescribe travel medications like anti-malarials if needed
- Send a personalized vaccine plan directly to Orleans Travel Clinic Pharmacy
Why Choose a Virtual Travel Health Consultation in Ottawa?
Not all travel health consultations are the same. A virtual travel health consultation with an ISTM-certified physician is fundamentally different from a quick checklist at a chain pharmacy. Here is what sets our Ottawa virtual travel clinic apart.

Your consultation is a thorough, 30–45 minute review of your itinerary, health history, and individual risk factors. You receive a personalized vaccine plan, not a generic country list.

Available 7 Days a Week, Including Evenings
Your virtual travel health consultation in Ottawa can be booked evenings and weekends through our RockDoc-powered platform — no time off work required. Most travellers complete their consultation and receive their vaccine prescription within 24 hours.
How Far in Advance Should You Book?
Book 4–6 weeks before departure to complete multi-dose vaccine series. Last-minute bookings are accepted — some protection is always better than none. For high-risk destinations such as sub-Saharan Africa, South or Southeast Asia, or remote South America, earlier is always better.
